Class Schedule

RGV CPR, LLC is proud to be your American Heart Association life support training and certification provider. We offer CPR AED, First Aid, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Instructor courses through the American Heart Association.

Students MUST complete Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work prior to attending the in-person classroom course. A link to complete the online modules will be included in your confirmation email. 

The 4-hour in-person class consists of:

  • Arythmia/algorithim practice stations (bradycardia, tachycardia, cardiac arrest, and post cardiac arrest care
  • Airway management practice station
  • Megacode practice and testing
  • 50 question multiple choice exam (open book) The exam will cover material from both the online modules and in-class portions of the course.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): ACLS covers the management of respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, peri-arrest conditions, airway management, resuscitation team dynamics, stroke and acute coronary syndrome.

Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS covers adult, child and infant CPR. This CPR course is tailored for healthcare professionals and those in school for a field in the healthcare profession.

HYBRID COURSE: This hybrid course allows you to complete the majority of the classes online at your convenience. You then come in to our facility for approximately 2 hours to complete the hands-on skills session.

Suitable for first-timers and those renewing their certification.

This hybrid format is approved by health care facilities and educational institutions.

 

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): PALS covers pediatric patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills.

HYBRID COURSE: This hybrid course allows you to complete the majority of the class online at your convenience. You then come in to our facility for approximately 1.5 hours to complete the hands-on skills session.

Suitable for first-timers and those renewing their certification.

American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED: This course covers adult first aid topics and CPR. The child and infant CPR modules are optional.

HYBRID COURSE: This hybrid course allows you to complete the majority of the class online at your convenience. You then come in to our facility for approximately an hour and a half to complete the online skills session.

HSI First Aid CPR AED: This course covers adult first aid topics and CPR. The child and infant CPR modules are optional.

HYBRID COURSE: This hybrid course allows you to complete the majority of the class online at your convenience. You then come in to our facility for approximately an hour and a half to complete the online skills session.

Health and Safety Institute Pediatric First Aid CPR AED: This course covers pediatric first aid topics and CPR.

HYBRID COURSE: This hybrid course allows you to complete the majority of the class online at your convenience. You then come in to our facility for approximately an hour and a half to complete the online skills session.

The American Heart Association’s ACLS Prep: Pharmacology Course is a self-directed eLearning course designed for students preparing to take an AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course.

Course Learning Objectives:
After successfully completing this course, students should be able to:

  • List basic ACLS drugs and their usage
  • Identify ACLS medication doses and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies
  • Apply basic pharmacology into the ACLS algorithms
